Kedatangan Panglima TNI ke Tasik dalam rangka melakukan Safari Ramadan, tepatnya di Lapangan Brigif 13 Galuh Kostrad.
Jenderal Gatot bersama rombongannya datang ke lokasi sekitar pukul 17.30 didampingi Bupati Tasikmalaya H Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, Sekretaris MUI Kota Tasikmalaya KH Aminudin Bustomi, Pangdivif 1 Kostrad Mayjen TNI Ainurrahman, Pangdam III/Siliwangi Mayjen TNI Herindra, Komandan Brigif 13/Galuh Kolonel Inf Dody Zulkarnaen, para perwira TNI dan ulama.
Setelah Adzan Magrib, Panglima TNI dengan massa pun bergegas berbuka dengan sajian yang sudah disediakan.

Selesai salat, Panglima langsung naik ke atas mimbar untuk memberikan sambutannya. Salah satu anggota TNI sempat menghampirinya sambil membuka sebuah payung, namun Jendral Gatot melarangnya.
